J. Milton Gaviria, M.D., F.A.C.P., has been practicing infectious Diseases since 1999. He received his medical school education at Universidad delValle in Cali, Colombia. He completed his internship and residency in lnternal Medicine at the University of Miami. Dr, Gaviria also served as chief medical resident at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Dr. Gaviria completed his fellowship in lnfectious Diseases at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He practiced lnfectious Diseases in Richland, Washington, for three years, where he was also director of the infection control program and instructor at the University of Washington.
Dr. Gaviria has been part of lnfectious Disease Physicians since 2002. He is on the medical staff at Baptist Hospital, South Miami hospital and Doctors Hospital. He is board certified in both lnternal Medicine and lnfectious Diseases. Dr. Gaviria is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, as well as member of the lnfectious Disease Society and HIV Medical Association.
